September 21, 2022 Fairmount/444 N 4th St Only Order Form

irst of all, I know everyone is stressed out being busy with all kinds of stuff. I would like to ask you to, at some point, read through the email. I get a lot of questions for things I write about here. Also, please make sure you select Fairmount or 444 N 4th when you order. Thanks.

Okay, let's get on with it! First fish of the week is fresh yellowtail tuna, also known as Ahi, from Canada!! This is beautiful sushi grade tuna that is perfect for tartares, crudos and sushi rolls!! We have a few recipes on our website for you to check out! By the way, saw yellowtail tuna at Whole Foods. $27 per pound!! You pay $18!

Second up is fresh haddock fillet from New England. Now, this is a delightful fish, part of the cod family of fish. In fact, it is the prince of the cod family. Super easy to cook in a pan with a little dredge, beer battered for a fish fry or simply roasted in the oven at 425F for 12-15 minutes with olive oil, garlic, lemon and seasonings.

Our beautiful Faroe Island salmon fillet. What more can we say? Such a great salmon and second to none. Some of you will be celebrating Rosh Hashanah this Sunday night and were asking for full sides. Well, we will make that available to everyone this week along with our 2lb bags.. So, if you want a side, which run 3-4 pounds each,, there will be a button for 'Whole side' and we will price it at $1 to hold your side. Since each side is a different weight, we will give you the balance when you pick up. Just select $1 per side that you need.

Beautiful Hokkaido scallops are around this week. They sear up perfectly and can even be eaten raw..These things are the bomb!!

We have both crab meats this week. Jumbo as well as Lump. By the way, posted up a recipe for stuffed shrimp with crab meat. These things...

Also, We have some house made kippered salmon and smoked albacore tuna spread from El Camino this week! The shelf life on the kippered in a month in the vac pack but it can be frozen. The tuna spread has a two week shelf life.

Okay, the first feature item. Gefilte fish! So this comes to you frozen in a 20oz log. It needs to be cooked so check out the recipe on the package or on our website. It is cooked from frozen so that saves a step. This particular gefilte fish (which is a fish mousse, really) is the same we had for the past Passover. There are no fillers and is gluten free. On the order form, I list the ingredients so check it out.

Second, honey apple cake from Second Daughter Baking Co. in South Philly. These two sisters have been praised for their excellent pastries and cakes. The ingredients for the cake are listed on the order form as well. There are no nuts.

Shellfish of the week is littleneck clams. Oysters this week are Black Magics from PEI. Good ones. Fishcakes are around. Once again, thaw, spray with oil, 425F, 15 minutes in the oven. Frozen grouper fillets 2oz are around too.

All the other usual suspects are around as well so have fun, take your time, hurry up and get your order in!

Here is the order form. Bring a bag! Bring a bag! Bring a bag!
