August 11, 2022 Fitler/Rittenhouse/Washington Sq Order Form

Well, August is going to be a fun month, me thinks. Lots of products are on the verge of breaking in price and, hopefully, we will take advantage on them more often.

First off, Faroe Island salmon is down in price. Yay! Finally some relief on that! Sushi grade and just about the best salmon out there so rejoice, rejoice, rejoice!

We have some more gorgeous fresh Rainbow trout this week from our friends in Idaho! We will be selling them two per order. Either head on or head off with the skeletal bone removed. This is what is referred to as 'butterflied'. Super easy to roast or broil or grill or stuff. And freezes extremely well. If you haven't tried our trout, you should. Meaty and just so good...A couple of good recipes on our site too.

Also, a little surprise and taking advantage of dips in the market (this is sometimes kinda like buying stocks, no?), we have 6oz Red Galapagos lobster tails! These tails are so meaty and delicious. Considered to be one the best in the world for tails. And look, the price went down from 2 taild for $35 to 2 tails for $30!

Sadly, this will be the last week for fresh Venezuelan Jumbo lump crab meat for a little while. They will be closing down for conservancy for a period of time. So, grab it while you can. Remember, this is fresh crab meat so lasts a week in the fridge but is best within 4-5 days. You cannot freeze it but you can make crab cakes, freeze them uncooked and that will protect the texture of the crab.

Hokkaido scallops have been looking just gorge lately. We like that. Sear them perfectly using our recipe on our website or slice them thin to make a carpaccio or crudo with some of our ponzu. Yup, they are sushi grade.

We are so happy to have some more fresh Feta cheese made locally by our friend Stephanie at Valley Milkhouse in Berks County. Using pasteurized milk coming from a great dairy farm, well, makes all the difference. No mass production here. And probably the best feta you'll find anywhere around here. So creamy and flavorful.

Littleneck clams are the shellfish of the week. Oysters will be Cheebooktooks from New Brunswick. Love these little guys. So happy to see so many of you ordering octopus. You are discovering how supremely easy it is to make not to mention how much better a value it is than ordering out in a restaurant. Crazy.

Anyway, that's all I got. The next few weeks, we'll be seeing more special stuff. Pretty excited over here..

All the other usual suspects are around as well so have fun, take your time, hurry up and get your order in!

Here is the order form. Bring a bag! Bring a bag! Bring a bag!
