 GOOD MORNING EVERYBODY!!

First things first. There are a lot of new people joining the group so I thought it would be a good idea to explain how this works. For those who already know, i apologize for the repeat. The order form below contains choices for you to select. You MUST enter something in every category or the list won't be sent to me. If you don't want something, click on the 'NONE' tab. Once you have placed an order successfully, you will receive a confirmation that you placed an order. You will NOT receive an invoice. I am working on that but you will not for now. Keep track of your total as you go along keeping in mind that many items are in two pound increments so twice the per pound price. If you plan on using Paypal, go to YOUR Paypal account and send money to smallwor...@gmail.com. Please do this RIGHT AFTER you place your order. Many people are sending me money the following week because they forgot. Just do it right away and you can't forget. If you plan on paying in cash, you can do so the day of pick up. I am close to finishing an online ordering platform that will take payment forms other than Paypal, FYI. Speaking of, if anyone out there is website savvy with the Square platform and can get me to the finish line on this, I would appreciate it....and pay you, of course.

This week's features are halibut cheeks and skate wing! These are really easy fish to prepare. Halibut cheeks can be cooked similarly to scallops and are quite versatile. As with any delicately flavored white fish, there is no more classic a pairing than a 'beurre blanc' or butter sauce. You should try to master the basic and then get creative with adding other things to it such as passionfruit, mango, orange segments, herbs or spices. Here is a great recipe to try out.

Oysters for this week are Pickle Points from PEI. These are the  gold standard of PEI oysters. Meatier and a little more intense in flavor. This would be the Cabernet of oysters compared to Beausoleils which I would compare to Pinot Noir. Neither is better or worse. Variety is the essence of life. The comparisons are many between wine and oysters. Little known fact, we refer to the specificity of the ground in which wine grapes are grown as 'terroir'. We refer to the specificity of where oyster beds are located as 'merroir'. Some people have been requesting West Coast oysters as well as other varieties from New England. West coast oysters are extremely hard to get here right now because of flight issues. As for New England, they are slowly beginning to come back online so those will be in the offering soon enough. I am super happy that so many people are enjoying oysters every week.

Squid is still being offered. I hope everyone has gotten their fried calamari fix. Crabcakes were made by many so I decided to keep the super lump available. We are trying to slowly add items to give you more options to choose from. I hope everyone is still enjoying everything. We would like to keep this going even as restaurants soon begin to slowly open.

If you would like to invite someone to join this list, please direct them to our website, smallworldseafood.com. They can fill out the form there.

Thank you to all for your support and sharing your lives with us,
