OCTOBER 22/23 SMALL WORLD REGIONAL SHIPPING ORDER FORM

Good morning, everyone!

Some of you weren't able to pick up this past week and others have asked us about the regional shipping thing for people you know out in the burbs. This is for regional shipping and NOT the usual pick ups. The way this works is you order by 8pm tonight and we have a third party deliver blast frozen fish along with other goodies to your home on Tuesday between Noon and 4pm. There is a sign up form on our site to get those emails.

Here is the email I sent out yesterday to the Regional Shipping group. If you know anyone who is interested in higher quality seafood at cheaper prices than they fetch out in the burbs, you can pass on this email. If they are not interested in such things, they are dodo birds..

Hello, everybody! I love getting such amazing feedback from everyone! We are seeing new people trying us out and I think that is great. It's hard to get quality stuff outside the city to start with and the prices out there....ugh...

This week in the city, we featured east coast halibut as well as local yellowfin tuna. Both were absolutely gorgeous! We blast froze and vac packed a bunch for you all. Take advantage on the halibut. May be the last of the good stuff til next spring. Boats in Nova Scotia regear right about now for their lobster season. We have a great recipe on our site for how to cook halibut the way restaurant chefs do it. Great technique to know.

And the yellowfin tuna (Ahi) comes from off the shores of New Jersey. Really fresh and dynamite for poke bowls or sushi rolls.

For the newbies here, our salmon from the Faroe Islands is sushi grade and will melt in your mouth. There is no better salmon, in my humble opinion. Better than anything you will find in supermarkets, that's for sure.

Our Hokkaido scallops are also tops. Sushi grade as well plus sear up perfectly. We have a great recipe on the site for how pros in restaurants do it. Great skill to learn.

We have lots of other goodies too. And just so it is clear, we blast freeze the fish FIRST and the vac pack it so you can take out one piece at a time if you like. You don't have to defrost a whole 2lb bag. After you remove a piece or two, place the bag in a zip lock and you'll be good to go!

We have so many other goodies like marinades, smoked fish, marinated fish, stocks, etc that will make your life full and all your dreams come true...Ok, a little much but...

As with all vacuum packed items, you can thaw out the product in your fridge overnight. Just make sure you remove from the bag first. Thawing slowly is better when NOT under vacuum. If you need it in a pinch, run the bag under COLD water and this time you can do it under vacuum because it is quick. Our fish is packed in such a way as you can remove one or two pieces at a time and then put the rest in the freezer again.

We have tons of recipes on our main website that you could play with. And we love to get photos of what you make. It always makes us happy to see how people play with their food.

Lastly, we would love all the feedback we could get. Such as , how was the delivery service? How did the product look when you got it? How was the seafood? Did you like it? And so on. The more info we get, the better we can get at this. You are an important part of the process.

I know it's lots of words but, hey, you have questions, we have answers.

Well, let's roll with it, then, right? Here is the link:
