Week of July 25, 2022 Small World Seafood Update

Is it just me that feels like the summer is flying by?? End of July already. Wow. And I just saw a gas price of $4.36 and was glad. Crazy world...

Anyway, fun with lobster and tuna once again isn't a bad thing, right? I love to see what people do with things the second time around. Lobster rolls make way for risottos and pastas but it's all good, right?

The one good thing about summer weather is that fishermen usually like to go out to get some of the fish that come around during summer. This week, we have some more delicious swordfish coming our way! These are local swords which means they are super fresh and will be super amazing. Most of you who have had our swordfish have always raved and for good reason. It is nothing like mediocre sword. Good swordfish is a special thing...

Also this week, we will see a small shot of fresh Venezuelan Jumbo Lump crab meat! It hasn't been about a month now and many of you have been going through withdrawal, understandably. No worries. You get your fix this week. They closed many areas down there for conservancy and are beginning to open up areas slowly so supply is limited. Order early and often..

Salmon from Faroe Islands is on deck this week. Sushi grade and melt in your mouth good. It is hard to have salmon from a supermarket now, huh?

Hokkaido scallops are available this week. Also sushi grade and gets a perfect sear every time (check out our recipe on our website).

Littleneck clams are the shellfish of the week. Not sure about the oysters yet. Smoke trout is still around. Cod is the frozen fish of the week and all the other usual suspects will be around.

And that's it from me, folks.

Look out for the order form Wednesday at 11am for Fairmount/444 N 4th St

Look out for the order form Thursday at 9am for Fitler/Rittenhouse/Washington Squares
