Week of February 3, 2025 - Fairmount/444 N 4th Order Form

Hello everybody!!

Super Bowl, baby!!! I don't know about you but i am super excited. A tad nervous so I am letting my fingernails grow a tad just so I have something to gnaw on. Smart, right?

Anyway, let's get onto it! No Faroe Island salmon this week due to nasty weather around that archipelago so let's go a little east to Norway for some terrific Steelhead trout! Now, some of you are confused by the trout part and expect a small, white fleshed fish. Not the case. Actually, you would be thinking of Rainbow trout from fresh water rivers. They are actually the same fish. But when these river fish go out to the ocean, they grow just like a salmon and turn orange fleshed. So, in the river, rainbow and in the ocean, steelhead. Got it? Good. This fish is actually fattier than salmon and will absolutely melt in your mouth with the mild flavor or trout. Fantastic. And cooks up exactly the same. Plus, it is sushi grade. Yup.

Next up for the game, fresh cooked lobster claw and knuckle meat from Nova Scotia!! What's a big game without lobster rolls, right? And this is the good stuff. We vac pack it so there is a good week to 10 day shelf life so it'll be perfect for Sunday night. If you wanted to, you can freeze the pack for a later time as well.

And bring on the hamachi! Also known as yellowtail in sushi restos, this is an ideal item for a big Super bowl party. Slice it thin, top with jalapenos or maybe some wasabi tobikko for a green touch and drizzle with our ponzu sauce. Winner!

Since we are going big, let's also treat ourselves to some super frozen bluefin otoro!! The prize of all prizes with tuna, these are frozen to -60F and vac packed. You will have a week to consume it before it starts to discolor but it'll be perfect throughout this whole weekend! There are very specific instructions for thawing it in an ice bath. Check out the vid on our website..

On the opposite end of things, more herring fillets from Maine!!! These little guys are absolutely delish and just beautiful!! We blast freeze and vack them so easy peasy!

We have branzini, we have daurades, we have rock shrimp and cod cheeks. We have crab meat so crab cakes have gotta be part of this weekend..As well as shrimp, right? Oh, and oysters for the game? Those will help with the nervous energy. Shuck away, baby!!

And as a special item this week, we will have swordfish/halibut meatballs in pesto cream sauce! More green food!! With some spinach linguini? Bleeding green....

PEI mussels are the shellfish of the week. Pair that with some spinach linguini pasta for the best cheap meal ever. (City of Brotherly) Love Point oysters from Maine this week. Nice and plump.

And babka kits are back as well as puff pastry dough..

See what I mean?? All this good to stuff to choose from.... Life is good...You'll never need to leave the house...

And don't forget your frozen shrimp, crab meat, and condiments and sauces...And dog treats for doggies...Coddy Canes are back too..

I know, I know. Lots of words but, hey, consider the alternative...
