Week of December 30, 2024 - Fairmount/444 N 4th Order Form

Hello everybody!!

Well, I hope everyone had a nice moment ringing in the New Year! I kinda love these mid week holidays, I gotta say. Work two days, off one day, work two days, off two days. Feels like a vacation..Maybe next week, reality will set in but in the meantime, I will just savor the chill moments around here. Pretty special, actually. Peaceful..

Anyway, let's talk about the first meals of the year! Forget the resolutions. Habits are developed early so why not start now? First up on the list of goodies for this week, local swordfish! It is quite rare to see it at this time of year but the weather conditions have been good so the boys down in the Carolinas have been nabbing some! Our local sword is so good. Mild, creamy, tender....

Faroe Island salmon is back this week! Sushi grade, melt in your mouth goodness. Cooks up beautifully. Makes the best gravlax. I mean, we hear it all the time. This is the best salmon you've ever had. Well, me too.

We are going to keep the rest of the list pretty simple this week. Quite a variety overload for the past month. But that doesn't mean don't still have good stuff. We have butterflied branzini. We have cod cheeks. We have Hokkaido scallops...sushi grade..

We have some pasteurized blue crab cocktail fingers. The little ones you just hold by the tip and pop into your mouth to scrape off the meat as you pull it back out. Good stuff. Not much of it around and it has a 60 day shelf life in your fridge...Great just cold with sauce of your choice or cooked into a nice sauce for loads of flavor and fun..

Littleneck clams are the shellfish of the week. Great to go along with Matt's fresh organic spinach linguini which is back. We also have more lobster ravioli which no one would be sad to have.

More oysters from Maine. Mere Points. Super nice. And a quick note. A few of you are still a little intimidated by shucking oysters yourselves. Stop it. Get onto Amazon, order yourselves a shucking knife and protective glove and give it a whirl. We have a quick video on our site for how to do it. The first ten you try may be a struggle but then you'll get the hang of it. I promise. It's not as hard as you think and it is much more of a pleasure to do at home than you think. So, math, people...make 2025 the year of the oyster for yourself. They are so good for you..

See what I mean?? All this good to stuff to choose from.... Life is good...You'll never need to leave the house...

And don't forget your frozen shrimp, crab meat, and condiments and sauces...And dog treats for doggies...Coddy Canes are back too..

I know, I know. Lots of words but, hey, consider the alternative...

Here is the order form. Bring a bag! Bring a bag! Bring a bag!
