HELLO EVERYONE!!!
What a difference a day makes. Or a week makes. Or whatever it makes. The change in times helped sooooooo much! First of all, it was really nice to see seniors NOT looking at long lines ahead of them. Secondly, people started coming out at all times spreading out pick ups. It felt like the old days when you could just walk up and have a chat. (Old days meaning 10 weeks ago- hey, that's old days in Covid time).
I know that a lot of people are away this week so i hope you are enjoying the mountains, lakes or beaches. Just be careful out there. We are kind of jealous and kind of not. It's weird but then again everything is weird so there you go.
So, a couple of things. You all can start telling people but just the people you really like. This is a nice level in Fairmount right now so let's keep it up. We've talked, previously, about opening the store at 444 N 4th St for pick ups. We are going to launch it this week. The way we plan on doing it is having seafood orders available for pick up there between 3pm and 6pm on Thursdays. Some people already on this list come from around there so this will be closer to them. Also, some people haven't been able to make earlier times on Thursdays because of work and such. Well, here is your chance to pick up later. Parking on 4th st between Spring Garden And Callowhill is pretty simple. The store is located on the corner of 4th and Willow St, FYI.
We have a few people signed up in the apartment building itself so far so here's everyone's chance to let a couple of your friends in Northern Liberties, Fishtown and Old City. Now, when you will order on the Square platform, you will be prompted for the location where you want to pick up - Fairmount or 444 N 4th. If you are using a phone, you may have to go to the bar menu to select the location. Just remember, we will only be bringing Fairmount orders on the truck going out. So, please make sure you have the right location. You can also change the location when you check out. It's a learning process so some will make mistakes but we will figure it out. If you are having trouble knowing one way or the other, most of you know you can always email or call. If you email, I will ask you to include your phone number so we can call you back to help.
Now onto fish. July 4th is coming up and that, of course, means barbeques and such. So, in the spirit of that, we are going to bring back lobster meat! Cooked claw and knuckle meat is perfect for a nice lobster roll or lobster mac & cheese. Also, we are going to offer a larger shrimp this week for grilling and shrimp cocktails. Instead of our usual 26/30 to a pound shrimp, we will be offering 13/15 peeled tail on shrimp! Nice big ones. Halibut has been such a hit and is still at peak season so we could pass up the chance to bring you more. Halibut fillets will be on the menu. Lastly, many of you have been asking for clams. Finally, here we are. Clammers are now more stable in their production and supply. 50 count bags of littlenecks will be on the menu. Boy, we are doing lot but it's the big weekend coming up so we should. For those that are out of town and can't partake, we cry for you....
I will post up recipes on our website for clams and a great shrimp cocktail.
Oysters this week will be Savage Blonds from PEI. Delicious little nuggets.
And that's it from me. Thank you all for still supporting us and adapting to the little changes as we do them. Please know that we are always thinking of the best way to make you all happy and share in the experience of eating fresh seafood together. We live in an amazing community. Truly.
Look out for the order form email this Wednesday at 11am.
