Oh no!! A snow storm! A nor'easter! What are we going to do??
Seriously, 2020? That's it? That's all you got? I have one thing to say. Ha!!! or even "yawn". Whatever, man. You can't stop us or scare us. Not this year.
So, on the menu this week is Spanish mackerel fillets boneless and skin on. I posted a couple of great recipes on the website for it. Just a terrific fish. I will say tell you now that the selection next Monday will be more limited because of the timing of things and Christmas week. We will have salmon and shrimp and smoked fish and sablefish for a fresh item. Scallops won't be available and fresh jumbo lump crab meat may be limited. Just a heads up. Fresh stuff freezes very well so think about it. We will have more oysters next week as well.
Smelts are here for the last time this year. This would be the opportunity to grab some and freeze them for a later date. Scallops freeze well too.
Oysters are Silver Bells from Massachusetts. Mussels are here this week. Smoked trout is an addition to the smoked stuff as well.
We have fish stock and parsley butter as a regular item now so no need to load up more than you need. We will have it. Also, we are featuring shrimp stock from Oyster House this week. Again, no need to hoard it. We will run it once a month so you will get a chance in a few weeks.
That's it from me. Check out recipes at smallworldseafood.com.
