Week of March 10, 2025 - Fit/Ritt/Wash Sq Order Form

Hello everybody!!

So, I don't know about you but this nice weather and later sunsets are really stimulating dopamine bursts in my brain. In other words, feels awesome...Here come the shorts...

And here comes fresh sushi grade Albacore tuna from Maine! Finally after a month of high winds, boats are out and nabbing fish for us! We love that! Local albacore is the smaller cousin in the tuna family but it happens to also be one fatttier ones. Translation? Great flavor. Super tasty in a poke bowl. Super tasty as a tartare. And super tasty poached in oil for a great tuna salad or braised in a sauce to stretch things out..So good!

For a new item for us which I am super excited about, King mackerel steaks! When we say 'steak', we refer to the cut going crosswise through the body. There is the bone, yes, but after you cook it, the meat slides right off. Think of osso buco. The great thing about it is that is adds so much flavor to any sauce or stew you cook it in. And it adds collagenous goodness for even more healthiness. On a personal note, I cooked some up the other night in a tomato, onion, pepper stew with some lemon juice and a touch of cumin and, boy, did that take me back to my childhood and my mother's cooking. Amazing. You can also make a fantastic coconut curry or use some of the lonsa to flavor a tomato sauce for one delish dish!

As I said earlier in the week, we are memorializing the 5th anniversary of Covid shutdown on March 16th. We are also celebrating the beginning of Small World Seafood pivoting from wholesaling to restaurants over to direct sales of resto quality fish to you. Wow. I don't know if I want to block that date out or throw a parade...

Screw it. Parade! So, we will celebrate with a parade of loved items for the month! This week, we plan on having Black Cod (also known as Sablefish) for you all for the whole month (maybe more if you dig that)! Grab some of our miso glaze to make the famous Miso Black Cod. So many of you already know what to do. Love that!

We will have more South African lobster tails, 4.5oz each. The best of the best! meaty, sweet and soooo good! Check out my recipe for splitting it and pan searing.

We have more fresh Venezuelan Jumbo lump crab meat! One week shelf life but best within 5 days, in my opinion..

As a special feature, we have parbaked Everything bagels (4 per pack) from Kismet bagels! We've been trying to colab for a while now and finally got it done! Keep the bagels in your freezer and then thaw on your counter for 30 minutes before you follow the baking instructions to finish them off! Freshest bagels ever!!!

Faroe Island salmon is in the house. Hokkaido scallops too. Both sushi grade..we have more Classic kippered salmon..

We have branzini butterflied, cod cheeks, wild rock shrimp...

Littleneck clams are the shellfish of the week. Irish Point oysters from PEI this week in celebration of St Patty's day. Nice and plump.

And Puff pastry dough from Oui Pastries is back!

See what I mean?? All this good to stuff to choose from.... Life is good...You'll never need to leave the house...

And don't forget your frozen shrimp, crab meat, and condiments and sauces...And dog treats for doggies...Coddy Canes are back too..

I know, I know. Lots of words but, hey, consider the alternative...

Here is the order form. Bring a bag! Bring a bag! Bring a bag!
