Week of March 3, 2025 - Fairmount/444 N 4th Order Form
Hello everybody!!
Well, sometimes, things don't always work the way you want them to. We got some tunas yesterday and cut some open and they were shit so we sent them back. So, as with life in general, you go to plan B, yeah? And the way I like to compensate for disappointment is to more than make up for it with the alternative..So let's go extravaganza!!!
First up, we will have fresh Faroe Island salmon back in the mix so that's a good start, yeah?
Okay, here we go with the goodies. Let's start with sides of Chilean Seabass!!! These are absolutely gorgeous sides ranging from 1-1.6lb each. Perfect for two to three people. You will get A+ quality seabass that is so fun to present center of the table. If you liked miso glazing Black Cod, you could do the same with the seabass or use a nice savory seasoning of salt, pepper, herbs, olive oil. 425F for 15 minutes...delish!
And with the winter winds dying down a touch on the waters, we got our hands on fresh haddock fillets! The Prince of the Cod family, I call it. Firm, flaky and makes the best fish and chips! Though a nice roast in the oven ain't too shabby..
And as the Spring is upon us, let's kick things off with fresh Jumbo Lump crab meat from Venezuela!!! We get so excited over this stuff. So tasty. Remember, this is fresh crab meat so the shelf life is a week but best with 5 days. Dig in!
It's been a little while since we've had hamachi loin. Super Bowl weekend, in fact. Seems so long ago...Ahhhhh...these skinless, boneless loins are touch smaller ranging from 1-1.4lb each. Get your poke or crudo on!!
And how about some South African lobster tails to celebrate daylight savings? 4.5oz each tails packed with meat and just fantastic. the best of the best, really.
We also got our hands on some absolutely gorgeous 1lb yellowtail snappers from Brasil! These are some of the nicest I've seen in quite a while. Scaled and gutted, blast frozen and vac packed.
We have a small shot of Boston mackerel fillets! Take advantage. These little fillets are unbelievably tasty. Must be all the Omega 3s....
As for specials of the week, we have more swordfish meatballs in creamy pesto sauce. We have a new batch of classic hot smoked (kippered) salmon. And we have some super tasty smoked hunter sausage made with venison and pork from our buddies at El Camino. good stuff..
PEI mussels are the shellfish of the week. Pair that with some spinach linguini pasta for the best cheap meal ever. Robinhood oysters from Maine this week. Nice and plump.
And babka kits are back..
See what I mean?? All this good to stuff to choose from.... Life is good...You'll never need to leave the house...
And don't forget your frozen shrimp, crab meat, and condiments and sauces...And dog treats for doggies...Coddy Canes are back too..
I know, I know. Lots of words but, hey, consider the alternative...
