Week of February 24, 2025 - Fairmount/444 N 4th Order Form

Hello everybody!!

Man, this weather. I feel like walking around in a t-shirt. Don't you? I know it's not warm enough yet but I still feeeeel like I want that..Can't wait!!! Well, a taste of spring and summer for me this week. Crab cakes, grilling fish, vibrant flavors, clean textures...I am manifesting the warmer weather through the food I eat..I don't know if this works but it sure tastes good!!

First thing on the docket this week is some absolutely gorgeous fresh swordfish from North Carolina! Swordfish can be meh..but not when we get it. It is creamy, mild, and so versatile. Great to grill. Great to roast. Great to prepare in a Puttanesca sauce or Provencal.

And with no fresh salmon from the Faroe Islands due to some nasty weather up there, we are going a little further east to Norway for some amazing Steelhead trout. We've had this a few times this year and so many of you have fallen in love with it. It looks a lot like salmon. It's a close cousin, in fact. It is fattier and milder in flavor Oh, and sushi grade. Yeah. It makes one killer poke bowl...

Last week, we have some monkfish and it got gobble up by so many of you. Well, we don't normally do this but the monk this week looked pretty stunning so we thought we would run it again. I mean, I couldn't pass it up..Neither should you...

We have more butterflied branzini, more whole branzini scaled and gutted. We have more cod cheeks and more wild rock shrimp.

As I mentioned in the previous email, we have a new seafood prepared dish from Matt at Settantatre Pasta Co. He made a smoked trout chowder lasagna for us!  Yeah. Doesn't that sound amazing? It is delish...

Littleneck mussles are the shellfish of the week. Pair that with some spinach linguini pasta for the best cheap meal ever. Mere Points oysters from Maine this week. Nice and plump.

And babka kits are back..

See what I mean?? All this good to stuff to choose from.... Life is good...You'll never need to leave the house...

And don't forget your frozen shrimp, crab meat, and condiments and sauces...And dog treats for doggies...Coddy Canes are back too..

I know, I know. Lots of words but, hey, consider the alternative...

Here is the order form. Bring a bag! Bring a bag! Bring a bag!
