Week of September 16, 2024 - Fairmount/444 N 4th Order Form

Hello everybody!!

Another fun week of goodies coming atcha! I love the month of September. There is something special about beginning to see the real change from the warm long sun days toward to shorter days and longer nights. Something comforting too.

Anyway, I will mention this a few more times for the people of the tribe that we will have open store hours on Monday Sept 30 and Tuesday Oct 1 from 10am til 2pm for those who want to pick up seafood for their Rosh Hashanah dinners Oct 2. We will have fresh salmon portions as well as sides and a whole bunch of blast frozen items as well. No need to preorder. Just come on in. We'll have it.

Okay, so back to this week! Fresh beautiful swordfish from our buddies up in Maine! We will have a few more shots of it over the next few months and then say goodbye to it for the first few months of next year so take advantage while you can! Lots of great recipes on our site for it. Love that fish...

Also on the docket is some gorgeous monkfish fillet that we are blast freezing for you in 1lb packs. We are rolling into a nice part of the season for it as well. Waters are getting colder up north, fish are getting fattier. A terrific fish to prepare in stews, cioppinos, bouillabaisses, chowders. Also, great to slice into medallions, dredge and pan sear followed by a nice topping of a caper brown butter sauce. Good stuff.

We have more butterflied branzini coming your way. Two fish per order, boneless, headless. On the whole fish side of things, we have some lovely daurades from Greece, as well, head on scaled and gutted. Two fish per order as well!

We have the holiday frozen loaves of Raskins gefilte fish for those who want it on a holiday table. Great stuff. Tastes like the old school version of it how it used to be made. No filler, and delish! Easy to prepare as well. Instructions are on the package.

We have more smoked albacore tuna spread for you guys along with more tuna arrabiatta with fusilli, shrimp and crab canneloni in vodka cream sauce and a special pasta this week from Matt at Settantatre Pasta Co. Sun dried tomato spaghetti!!!!!

Salmon, yes. Scallops, yes. Fresh pasta is spinach linguini. We have both the tuna arabbiata and shrimp and crab cannelonis as well as shrimp tamales.

And for the special item of the week, we have two different cuts of wagyu beef great for a braise. 12oz as well as 20oz chuck roasts. Plus bone marrow bones split lengthwise. One half canoe bone per order. Now that'll make one helluva stew...

Littleneck clams are the shellfish of the week. Grab some fresh organic pasta from Settantatre Pasta Co and make one knock out bowl.  Best cheap meal ever. Oh and some pistachio pesto too? Irish Points are the oysters this week from PEI. Nice and plump.....bacon and lonsa abound....

See what I mean?? All this good to stuff to choose from.... Life is good...You'll never need to leave the house...

And don't forget your frozen shrimp, crab meat, and condiments and sauces...And dog treats for doggies...Coddy Canes are back too..

I know, I know. Lots of words but, hey, consider the alternative...

Here is the order form. Bring a bag! Bring a bag! Bring a bag!
