September 15, 2021 Order form Fair/444 plus Fit/Ritt/Wash Squares

if you have already ordered, please disregard this email. We'll see you tomorrow. If you haven't, please read the first paragraph.

Before you scroll down to the bottom to just click on the order form, please at least read this paragraph since we are doing something a little different this week. Due to the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur on Thursday, many of you will not be able to order or pick up in observance of the holy day. So, what we are doing for this week only is giving everyone a little flexibility. Today's order form will be open until 10pm instead of 8pm do give some people time to break the fast with some bagels and smoked fish and still have time to place an order.

Sooo, first up on the docket today is beautiful local swordfish! These litlle diamonds are so moist and tasty. They take to any preparation from grilling to pan roasting to curries. Since it is a common thing to compare swordfish to chicken (isn't everything?), I thought about some ways I like to prepare chicken. So, I am partial to chicken marsala and piccata and tried it with swordfish. Oh...my....god...Unbelievable. Such a healthy and tasty way to prepare it. Yum! Or use our miso glaze or Mediterranean marinade (if you add a little more marinade after you cook it, your mind...blown)

Second up are dry sea scallops from Nantucket Light. These little beauties have been unbelievable the last couple of weeks. We are getting into some new areas open to scalloping that are producing some real gems. Take advantage. These things are so fresh, you could slice them into thin medallions and serve them like a crudo with some jalapeno slices and our delish ponzu sauce. Easy peasy..

Since so many of you raved about the frozen hamachi loins we sold a few weeks back, we thought it was time past enough to tickle the itch. Or, get you a fix is more like it. This is premium boneless, skinless sustainably farmed in Japan beautiful stuff. Each loin weighs between 1.25lb and 1.9lb each. As usual, we will have a key for $1 to secure your piece and you could pay the balance at the truck when we get the weight. Nori sheets will be available as well so roll em up!! Oh, and don't forget the eel (Unagi).

Speaking of sushi grade, salmon this week comes from one of our favorite farms in Chile. These are larger fillets meaning more fat and flavor (omega-3s baby!!) Great for pokes or maki rolls but exquisite roasted or grilled. Will just melt in your mouth!!! Use the miso glaze with it and float in the ethers..

Mussels are the shellfish of the week. Casgo Bay oysters out of Maine are here. We don't usually see these little guys so take advantage. Shrimp shumai are around. Octopus is not this week. All the smoked fish items are around this week too including smoked trout, kippered salmon and trout roe. Also, an aside about the Acme smoke salmon. We have noticed some inconsistency lately with their smoked salmon. They've explained that labor shortages have affected consistency so they are offering us another line which is produced for high end delis in New York City like Zabar's. We think you'll be happier with it. We are. Also, we have more cheese selections available this week. Some of you showed some regret at not buying some. Buy it. This is great local cheese and a great way to show your support of them.

Anyway, hopefully, this works and people are too confused about how to order this week. If you have any questions, email us or call us. We'll ease your pain.

Here is the form.
