GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!!

Wow, for the first time in a long time, this week has been uneventful as far as seafood goes. Maybe it's the selections of the week, maybe it's karma, the stars are aligning or some dervish like ruse by the angels up there to set us into a state of complacency so they can laugh at us next week. Who knows..

Whatever it is, we are glad to just still be doing this, honestly. And, we have bronzino this week for the very first time!!! Why not before, you ask? Well, most bronzini come from Greece, Turkey or Spain where they are farmed. All bronzini come to America by plane on commercial flights. Now you know why they charge you for extra bags when you travel. The hull of those planes were filled with commercial product. Well, not many flights going back and forth to Europe over the past many months and shipping rates drove the price through the roof. It is subsiding and time to get our fill.

We will be selling it two ways. Fillets skin on and whole, scaled and gutted. The former will be in 2lb portions and the latter will be 3 fish per bag each for $36. Restaurants were keen on charging anywhere from $24 to $36 per fish entree. You get a whole fish for $12 each. Pretty, pretty, pretty good..here is a good recipe for the fillets..

Also on the menu this week is Jonah crab claws triple scored. We've done them before and they were a hit. The lesser known cousin of stone crab claws and much more affordable at $25 for a 2lb bag. Check out our website, smallworldseafood.com, for recipes.

Oysters are Pickle Points this week. Mussels are back and I am sure you just want to get on and order so here is the form. Oh, and we will continue with the smoked fish. Yay!!
