APRIL 13, 2020

Good morning on this rainy Monday.

First of all, I would like to thank everyone who ordered last week. Andy and I have been saying that it is quite a pleasure to meet more people in our neighborhood. This reminded us of how many new people you meet when you get a dog or have a baby or move in. We live in an amazing community. Truly.

So, we are really grateful for the new sign ups. There are so many more that have signed up at The Philadelphian that we have decided to add a stop there on Thursdays and Fridays from 11:30am to 11:55AM. I sent out and email to a few people in the building encouraging them to tell their friends and they have done a wonderful job! Keep spreading the word so that we can justify coming by!

Also, many more people have signed up below Fairmount Ave so we decided to add a stop at the corner or 19th and Wallace St from noon to 12:55pm. Once again, to all the people down there, spread the word to your neighbors!

Finally, we will end up at the corner or Woodstock and Parrish St near our homes from 1pm to 2pm to finish up. That will serve people north of Fairmount Ave and anyone who was not available to make the first two stops.

As far as seafood goes, I will continue to expand and change the variety offered while keeping in mind that some things are staples. There are large numbers of you who have voiced some curiosity about fish you normally get in restaurants. Some of you have been playing with our dry Jersey scallops and enjoying the deliciousness. You never see those in supermarkets. I am bringing in a small amount of oysters from up north as well as halibut cheeks. Skate wing could be on the menu. I won't get too esoteric, though. Halibut, striped bass and other good stuff will also be available. It all will really depend on the fishermen. They are having a hard time as well. Besides low prices for their catch, they have to be in tight quarters and have the same fears we do.

That's enough from me. Here is a video recipe to inspire you.
